Indian Rocks Beach Suites is right in the center of IRB, and is situated on a beautifully landscaped property on a quiet back street just three to four hundred steps to the water. Walk to restaurants is 5-10 minutes for downtown and 20-25 minutes to the end of town.
From strolling on the beach to relaxing in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Indian Rocks Beach has it all. The IRB local community makes sure you can get to the beautiful sand and water easily by providing 27 public accesses to the Gulf.
Water sports of all types are available. Not only is the Gulf of Mexico right here, but we also have the intercoastal teaming with birds, boats and nature just a few steps away, too!
Indian Rocks Beach has it's very own Nature Preserve with a wooden boardwalk that meanders through and around mangroves adjacent to the intercoastal and just a short walk form our Suites.
Rent a boat, a stand-up-paddleboard or go deep sea fishing with a deep Gulf fishing charter. IRB even offers SCUBA diving.
You can fish off the beach like the locals do, swim, walk, Paddle-board, rent a bike, shop and of course there are plenty of great restaurants and gathering places to enjoy.
Off the beach, take a walk around downtown and visit the IRB Museum, a historic beach cottage nestled in beautiful Chic-a-Si Park. The cottage has been expanded and the exhibits and displays take guests on a journey form prehistoric Native American times, through the days of early pioneers and up to the modern motel and condo era.
For those who want to see some other beaches we have the Suncoast Beach Trolley. It runs from St Pete Beach to downtown Clearwater Beach every 30 minutes, seven days a week and of course it has several stops here in Indian Rocks Beach, one just a few minutes walk from Indian Rocks Beach Suites.
If you want to get in the car then you are just a short drive to downtown St. Petersburg with its gorgeous waterfront on Tampa Bay. St. Pete has the world-famous Salvadore Dali Museum and the new permanent Chihuly glass art exhibit as well as an eclectic shopping and restaurant scene.
Tampa itself is fast becoming a top city in the southeastern part of the US. From, the old Ybor City with its many hand-rolled cigar factories, restaurants and gathering places to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and the Florida Aquarium, just to name a few. You can take a drive over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (toll fee), rated the number one thing to do in the Tampa Bay area on Trip Advisor. You can also visit the Tampa Electric Manatee Viewing Center, take a drive on Bayshore Boulevard, visit Tampa's Big Cat Rescue or dozens of other things off the beach. Tampa even has its own Hard Rock Cafe.
In about two hours, by car, you can be in Orlando the gateway to Disneyworld, Epcot Center, Sea World, Universal Studios, Lego land and a host of other theme parks.
